Murray Color copy6Murray H. Williams graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1992 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. He worked as a bondbroker before working in the IT sector. One day while researching the origins of information theory, Murray discovered how a scientist learned to transfer data over noisy communication channels using probability. This breakthrough essentially birthed the digital age as we know it. Ten years later another mathematician named John Kelly, Jr. took this concept and applied it to games of chance. It showed gamblers how to size their bets that would maximize profits while eliminating the risk of ruin. Blackjack players and racetrack bettors have used this technique for decades to size their bets when their edge and odds are known.

One sunny day, it dawned on Murray how to apply this probability concept to the financial markets. It essentially gives investors the greatest possible return while eliminating big losses. To this day, the financial community has never successfully translated this concept to the stock market.
